A message from our Community Representative
Building a Culture of Peace - Ten Critical Seconds
At Melrose, we encourage children to pause before reacting: Stop, calm down and think, then choose wisely. A few deep breaths and ten quiet seconds can prevent conflict. Speak calmly, walk away or seek help from a trusted adult. Parents, teachers and community members must model the same respect and self-control.
We may not control what happens to us, but we can control how we respond.
